Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Öztürk

He was born in 1969 in Samsun. He completed his primary and secondary education in Germany. After completing Samsun 19 Mayıs High School, he started his medical education at GATA Faculty of Medicine. He became a medical lieutenant on 30 August 1994. He completed his internship training between 1994-1995 with first place. Between 1995-1997, he worked as a flight doctor at Akinci F16 base. After completing GATA Internal Diseases residency training between 1997-2001, he worked as an Internal Diseases Specialist at Ankara Etimesgut Air Hospital between 2001-2003. Between 2003-2004, he attended the training program named 'Laboratory Studies of Stem Cells and Emrionic Stem Cells' at the Stem Cell Center at Minnesota University in the USA. Between 2004-2007, he completed his sub-specialty training in GATA Medical Oncology Department. Assistant docent in 2008, 27.01. He received the title of docent in 2011. In 2014, he became the Head of GATA Medical Oncology Department and the Head of GATA Adult Stem Cell Transplantation Center. This center continued its activities by carrying out over 1000 autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants and being licensed by the Ministry of Health. He personally followed over 700 high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplant patients. He speaks fluent English and German.
