What is Endoscopic Surgery?
Endoscopic surgery method is one of the most important diagnosis, follow-up and treatment methods offered by technological development, medicine and patients. Endoscopic surgeries are known as closed surgery. It is also called keyhole surgery, minimally invasive surgery, minimal access surgery.
Endoscopy, which is a modern treatment method, is divided into two as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in the practice of gynecology.
With the closed surgeries called laparoscopic surgery, an incision is made in the belly button of the patient and it is performed by entering with the help of a camera. Robotic surgery has emerged as an advanced laparoscopy application with the significant development in technology in recent years. It is a surgical method in which operations are performed with the help of robots.
Again, in recent years, NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) surgery has been used in order to avoid visible surgical scars on patients who have undergone cosmetic surgery. In this surgical method, natural body openings such as anus, vagina, bladder and stomach are used. In other words, by passing through these organs, the female organs in the abdomen are reached, there is no scar on the skin and the necessary surgeries are performed.
Hysterescopic surgeries, on the other hand, are surgical approaches that intervene into the uterus through the vaginal route, again with a camera system.

Following the technological developments experienced today, most of the gynecological diseases are performed by closed surgery method.
